The Day Before

I finally have a sister.

My brother's wedding this weekend was beyond perfect.

But before I get into the nitty gritty details, first things first.

A little family initiation.

My immediate family knows they are fair game for poking fun here on my blog. And now the new Mrs. Oleen is no exception.

A little tip: before you hand me your camera and tell me to go crazy with wedding pictures -- you might want to clear off any embarrassing pictures.

Like your one-woman photo shoot in the bathroom.

Why do women make this face in the mirror? I do it too, I won't lie. But I never make that face in public, so why do I practice it in the mirror?

Don't worry Shannon, I went easy on you. You'll be happy to know my brother erased the photo shoot you did with the cat before handing over the camera.

Because that would have been some of the most amazing material I would have ever gotten my hands on.

You owe your new husband big time.

Now on to more important matters....

Here is Miss Thang in her stunning rehearsal dress. She looks like a bride already.

And then you have the groomsmen, who are just too cool for school.

They would rather skip straight through this rehearsal crap and on to the open bar at dinner.

My handsome brother.

Escorting my parents down the aisle.

Such a gorgeous church.

And such a beautiful couple.

On to the rehearsal dinner....

Her version of a good couple's picture.

His version of a good couple's picture.

These infamous Ray Bans will make another appearance later in the weekend.

And it's good.

My aunt and uncle.

My parents.

Ugh. There's that stupid tongue again.

Just for that, I'm going to post this:

Nice eyes, crazy.

Oh geez. My dad has infiltrated the bridesmaid circle.

Regaling them, I'm sure, with (made up) stories from his former glory days.

The bride and her dad.

Adorable.

Once the bride and groom separated for the night, the guys hit up the bars.

Only to quickly realize that they were pretty much the oldest dudes there.

So we headed back to my brother's house for an impromptu jam session.

My husband is sort of a guitar hog.

Okay, so he's a big guitar hog.

Much more to come on the big day tomorrow!
